GOOD IDEA

After seeing the success of the ‘Cities of Learning’ movement in the USA, which captures the ‘out-of-the-classroom’ learning experiences offered by a city and communicates the skills learned in a way that potential employers can understand, the RSA was interested in whether it was a concept that could work in the UK.

STORY STRATEGY

Partner the RSA with Our Future City, a cultural consortium that aims to improve the lives and life chances of children and young people in Brighton & Hove, to develop the blueprint for a City of Learning.

SOLUTIONS

Messaging for young people and local stakeholders, a local PR campaign and an event called 1UP, where young people could discover existing local opportunities to follow their passions and learn new skills outside the classroom.
