Giving good ideas stronger stories.
Founded in 2015, Long Run Works is an award-winning story innovation business on a mission to give good ideas stronger stories, so they get the attention they deserve and grow faster.
We help people with ideas that make the world more sustainable, inclusive and healthy, inspire customers, colleagues & stakeholders to win the support they need.
We do this through campaigns, culture and coaching.
We also challenge people’s expectations about what an agency can and should do.
For thousands of years stories have been key to how we share information, make decisions, construct our identities and make sense of the world.
Telling a compelling, understandable and shareable story can help you get attention beyond your resources.
The Core Team
Will HillChief Story Officer
Leah DennisonSenior Research Executive
We make the most of modern technology, trends and attitudes to create and manage the right team for each brief or opportunity.
Our network of long runners is made up of story makers, story tellers and story doers that are passionate about their craft, experts in problem solving and are excited about the future.
These are awesome individuals that we’ve worked with in our past lives; from sitting on global creative boards for brands and leading public sector campaigns to running commercial sponsorships and working with entrepreneurs in global hubs of innovation. We also work collaboratively with specialist pioneering agencies like Outlandish and Practical Governance.
What’s important to us is that you get the right people to help you tell your story and that you are not paying for unnecessary overheads or retained talent that doesn’t quite fit.
Our Advisory Board
To make sure that we stay true to our story we have an advisory board made up of people who have challenged business as usual.

“We work with Long Run Works because they understand what it takes to bring innovative and sustainable ideas to market but more importantly explain them to audiences of potential customers, investors and partners. They are also creative and relentless innovators themselves.”Dr. Mike Pitts, Head of Urban Systems, Innovate
“Long Run Works enabled Digitalme – a City & Guilds Group business – to tell our story. And develop a toolkit that helps us share it far and wide. Imaginatively and with integrity, over and over again. They ensured it was a process of co-creation which brings internal teams and key stakeholders along on that journey so they feel collective ownership for the output which ensures brands and stories feel authentic and powerful when amplified externally. But their individual passion and skill lifted it beyond the average agency input. Because of this the outputs are outstanding and focussed on helping us deliver real outcomes, over time on what can be big complex issues and solutions. Guy and Will are now extended members of the team, not an agency”.Chris Kirk, Managing Director, Digitalme
“I worked with Guy and Will when they were at Lexis and I was Marketing Director and then Head of Sustainability. They were an absolutely integral part of a multi-functional multi agency team that produced award winning and business transforming work. Creative, strategic, insightful, proactive and a joy to work with. The other agencies all thought so too”.Neville Farrington, former Head of Sustainability, EDF Energy

We pay it forward.
Long Run Works is part of Stronger Stories, a not-for-profit movement of storytellers who are excited about the abundance of good ideas that can have a positive impact on our world.
Our goal is to help good ideas to get heard and find new ways for storytelling power to be shared more fairly.
